Janet Darlene Kieffer

Janet Darlene Kieffer, 83, of Ephrata, died Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home. Her husband, Richard W. Kieffer, survives. She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Melvin Brooks in 1983.

Born in East Earl, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Margaret I. (Palmer) Sandoe.

Janet retired from Cadmus but had previously been employed by Pennsylvania Scale, Harry’s Auction, and New Holland Lingerie.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Robert Diem, Kevin Michael Kieffer and Rick Kieffer, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. Online condolences may be offered at www.groffeckenroth.com.
