Jay Curvin Zimmerman

Jay Curvin Zimmerman, 75, of East Earl, died Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Hospice & Community Care following a several-month illness. His wife, Lois A. (Zimmerman) Zimmerman, survives. They would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on October 14.

Born in East Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Harvey B. and Alice H. (Good) Zimmerman.

Curvin was employed for 50 years as a kitchen cabinetmaker. He was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Jay Kevin Zimmerman, Bradley Zimmerman, and Jennifer Morales, three grandchildren: Karina, Kylah, and Evan Morales, and 11 siblings: Mary Jane (Allen) Kurtz, LeRoy (Lillian) Zimmerman, Joyce (Sam) Kulp, Harvey (Mary Jane) Zimmerman, Mahlon (Carol) Zimmerman, Richard (Betty) Zimmerman, Leonard (Miriam) Zimmerman, Henry (Sharon) Zimmerman, Margaret (Earl) Martin, Sandra Nolt, and Linford (Kim) Zimmerman.

He was preceded in death by three siblings: Janet (Tom) Frame, Allen Eugene “Gene” (Faye) Zimmerman, and Pauline (Larry) Martin.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 2 p.m. at New Holland Mennonite Church, 18 Western Ave., New Holland, PA 17557. Interment will be private in New Holland Mennonite Cemetery. Light refreshments will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Holland Early Learning Center, address above. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, is in charge of arrangements.
