Jay Calvin Fitze

Jay Calvin Fitze, 80, of Leola, a loving, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, passed away at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

He was married 51 years to Jane D. Dombach Fitze. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late James Calvin and Catherine Ecker Fitze.

Jay retired as the Facilities and Security Manager at Lancaster Laboratories. He attended Mountville Church of the Brethren. Jay was an avid fan of any sport or team that his grandchildren were involved in, enjoyed old Country Western Music and old movies, however he was the happiest whenever he was in the company of his family.

Surviving besides his wife is a son, Jeremy C. (Felicia) Fitze of Mount Wolf; a daughter, Janelle C. Fitze of Leola; two grandchildren, Celeste and Camden; a brother, Neal (Susan) Fitze of Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Dombach of Arizona.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
