Jay D. Stover

Jay D. Stover, 85, of New Holland, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home. His wife, Pat Stover, survives.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Barton and Gertrude Stover.

Jay was a tinsmith, constructing metal roofing and spouting. He also made punched tin and copper lights.

Jay’s greatest enjoyment came from breaking horses and riding in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeos until age 62.

In the late 1950’s, Jay served in the Army working with weather balloons.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Toby married to Teresa Stover of Mountville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six siblings.

His graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens, 319 Wabash Rd., Ephrata. Kindly omit flowers.
