Jean E. Donovan

Jean E. Donovan, 90, of Narvon, formerly of Royersford, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center.

Born in Royersford, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Hohl) Krause. Her husband, Baylor Donovan, Jr., died Sept. 25, 1990.

Jean worked for several years as a secretary in a doctor’s office and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland. She enjoyed visiting, reminiscing, and playing basketball at Spring City High School, where she graduated. She also made many friends while living at the Country Haven Camp Ground.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald L., married to Joy (Schaeffer) Donovan of New Holland, and Kenneth B., married to Beth (Risley) Donovan of Etters; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a brother, James Krause; and a sister, Lillian Beppert.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend David Klepper officiating.
