Jean M. Martin, 83, of Ephrata, formerly of Narvon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Fairmount Homes.


Born in Reamstown, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Scheaffer) Hauck. She would have been married 64 years on February 26 to Robert G. Martin.


Jean was a dedicated home-maker and then worked for 15 years as the front desk clerk for the Colonial Motor Lodge in Denver.


She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and in a ladies trio. She especially enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren, including 20 years of vacations together at the Outer Banks. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and playing Scrabble with the family.


Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Daniel R., married to Elaine (Howard) Martin of New Holland, Diane L., married to Craig Hickey of Lititz, Connie S., married to Joe Kepiro of Lititz, and Patti J., married to Roger Garber of Manheim; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Marian Lines of Lancaster; and a brother, Paul L., married to Dusty Hauck of Ephrata.


Preceding her in death are two brothers, Richard and Glen Hauck.


A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 18 at 11 am at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland with the Rev. Dr. Doug Bozung and the Rev. David Horst officiating. Interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
