Jean L. Tressler

Jean L. (Robinson) Tressler, of New Holland, passed away on June 18, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born on December 27, 1935, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Floridan E. and Eleanor (Keller) Robinson.

She was the wife of Robert L. Tressler, with whom she married on April 16, 1960 and shared 65 years of marriage.

In her younger years, she was employed as a substitute teacher at Garden Spot High School then became a dental assistant, working for Dr. Funk, Dr. John Voler and Dr. Daniel West, retiring in 1999. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was on the church council, helped in the kitchen for luncheons, banners with children, participated in the prayer shawl and quilting ministry. She helped design the gates for the Gods Littlest Angels Cemetery. She enjoyed knitting, needlework, cross stitch and gardening.

Jean is survived by her husband, Robert, her children, Amy L. wife of Brad Burkholder of Reinholds, Robert L. husband of Lori Tressler of Bristol and James L. husband of Kelly Tressler of Reamstown and grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert III, Alissa and Benjamin Tressler.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia J. Gillette.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 221 E Main Street, New Holland PA 17557. A Viewing will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
