Jimmie D. Collins

Jimmie D. Collins, 81, of New Holland, formerly of Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Kingston, WV he was a son of the late Nathan and Bethel (Smith) Collins.

Jimmie worked as a bricklayer for Structa Bond Inc. in Conshohocken for over 50 years, and was a member of the Pointers, Cleaners and Caulkers Labor Union in Philadelphia.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Lionel Trains, Hess Trucks, his dogs, the Minnesota Vikings, and especially his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte, married to Michael Seiverling of Stamford, CT, and Shannon, married to Gerald Mason of New Holland; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles, married to Jane Collins of San Diego, CA.

Preceding him in death is a sister, Sue Gardner.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 20 at 6 pm at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm.
