John Earl Bentley

John Earl Bentley, 80, of Denver, passed away on May 23, 2023 in his residence.

Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Earl C. and Gloria (Goepfert Miller) Bentley.

He was the loving husband of Susan (Koster) Bentley, with whom he shared twenty-seven years of marriage.

He was employed as a chemistry teacher for Overbrook High School for over thirty years and was also their football coach. After retirement, he was a Krapf school bus driver for seven years. He enjoyed skiing, sailing, flying airplanes, riding his Harley motorcycle, traveling to their house in Fenwick Island and traveling around the world.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter; Ingrid (Donges) wife of Joseph Lijoi, his grandchildren; Hannah wife of Jade Lucas, Christopher Lijoi, Cecilia Lijoi, Susannah Lijoi and Regina Lijoi and his sister: Gloria wife of Gary Harter.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
