John M. Gibson

John M. Gibson, 66, of East Earl, passed away on August 3, 2024 in his residence.

Born in Lancaster PA, he was the son of the late William Robert Gibson and Anna Ruth Pfautz.

He was the husband of the late Denise M. (Shellehammer) Gibson and they shared 40 years together until the time of her passing on July 30, 2024.

He was a carpenter for 20 years and then worked as a trash truck driver for 10 years. He enjoyed attending drag races and the Sea Witch Festival in Rehoboth with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his cats, Savannah, China, Buddy, Mike, Jack and Alex.

John is survived by his children, William T. husband of Kyna Gibson of Anthem, AZ and Candice M. Gibson of ¬¬¬¬¬¬Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Colton and Carter, stepsons, David A. Furjanic companion of Jennifer Good of Ephrata, Donald A. husband of Beth Furjanic of Ephrata and Patrick R. Furjanic of Houston, TX and step grandchildren, Samantha, Dallion, David Jr., Emily, Shirley and Elise. Also surviving are his siblings, Richard husband of Jacqueline Gibson and Florence Hainley.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Gibson, William Gibson and Shirley Getz.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Groff High Funeral Home in New Holland is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
