John W. Huyett

John W. “Junior” Huyett, Jr., 88, of 43 Bowmansville Rd., Mohnton, died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Hickory House in Honey Brook. His wife, Florence A. (Ziemer) Huyett, survives. They had observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on October 16.

Born in Robeson Twp., he was the son of the late John W. and Vera (Hoffman) Huyett.

Early in his life, John was a farmer and then later worked for PennDOT retiring after 23 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed country music and going to amusement parks.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children: Harvey Huyett married to Karin Cody, Bend, OR; Linda (Thomas) Vieldhouse, Elverson; Sandra (John) Nocera, Mohnton; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight siblings: Myrtle Graff, Charles Huyett, Marian Pennebaker, Martha Kohl, Naomi Deeds, Joyce Seidel, Michael Huyett, Ralph Huyett.

He was preceded in death by five siblings: Lloyd, Harvey, Robert Huyett, Mary Mountz, Clarence “Hank” Huyett.

His funeral will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill. Interment will be in Center Union Cemetery.
