John L. Martin

John L. Martin, 49, of Leola, formerly of Blue Ball, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Mildred Carr of Leola, and the late LeRoy K. Martin.

John worked as a spray painter for Schure Mfg. Co. in Honey Brook and also for Neoplan in Honey Brook, and most recently he has worked as a fabricator at Blue Ball Machine Campany.

He enjoyed drag racing, his 1968 Pontiac Firebird, and wrestling in High School.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a sister, Claresse K., married to Dale Gehman of Ephrata; and two nephews, Jimmy and Jeffrey Martin of California.
