John F. “Jack” Logue, 87, of New Holland, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his home. His wife of 50 years, Frances (Hunt) Logue, survives.
Born in Clifton Heights, PA, he was the son of the late John Francis and Hannah (Levis) Logue.
Jack was a power plant engineer, last employed by Gulf Oil Corp. for 32 years. Following his retirement from Gulf, he drove a school bus for the Eastern Lancaster County School District.
He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children: John F. “Jack” married to Maureen Logue, Gary J. married to Gayle Logue, Bruce married to Tiina Barclay, Robin married to Ann Barclay, Ronald married to Lisa Logue and Dennis married to Denise Logue; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ann O’Malley and Jane Kelly. Also surviving is the mother of John, Gary and Robert, Louise Mills.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Barclay, a son Robert Logue and three brothers: Joseph Austin, George Logue, and William Logue.
His funeral will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with Fr. Walter Guzman and Rev. Kenneth Mingledorff officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Groff-High on Monday from 1 – 2 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
