John D. Neely

John D. Neely

John D. “Jack” Neely, III, 83, of New Holland, formerly of Aldan, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John D., Jr. and Margaret (Bracken) Neely. He was married 61 years on June 15 to Beatrice (Bowerman) Neely.

Jack graduated from Temple University with a master’s degree in business administration. He then worked for 39 years, retiring in 1996, as a Benefits Consultant for Sun Oil Company in Philadelphia.

He was a member of Aldan Union Church in Aldan, PA but has been attending St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland.

Jack enjoyed playing the Cornet at Aldan Union Church and volunteering at Garden Spot Village and Aldan Union Church. He also formerly served as a leader of the Boy Scout Troop #2 in Aldan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children Pamela, married to Rod Kellmer of Blanden, Jeff, married to Donna (Riddle) Neely of Pensacola, FL, and Ken, married to Diane (Adolph) Neely of Brookhaven; five grandchildren, Abby, married to Ryan, Katrina, Jeffrey, Ben, and Cole; and three great grandchildren, Emerson, Beatrice, and Miles.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 20 at 2 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzzer Ave., New Holland. Interment will be in the Garden Spot Village Memorial Garden.
