John M. Nolt

John M. Nolt, 79, of 128 Lengle Rd., Myerstown, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary E. (Martin) Nolt.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Eli O. and Mattie (Martin) Nolt.

John was a farmer, truck driver, and in later years provided a taxi service to the Plain community.

He was a member of Centerville Mennonite Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Gerald Ray married to Joan (Fox) Nolt, Loveland, CO; John Michael married to Joyce (Weaver) Nolt, Myerstown; Judy Ann married to Grant Martin, Newville; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; six siblings: Ivan married to Mary (Oberholtzer) Nolt, Ephrata; David married to Anna (Sauder) Nolt, Ephrata; Martin Nolt, Kempton; Allen married to Florence (Horst) Nolt, New Holland; Martha married to Samuel Martin, Gordonville; Elizabeth married to Moses Good, Manheim; and three sisters-in-law: Mary Nolt, Ephrata; Anna Mary Nolt, Ephrata; and Anna Nolt, Manheim.

He was preceded in death by twin sons, three brothers and a sister.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 10 a.m. at the Centerville Mennonite Church, 197 Sensenig Rd., Ephrata. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Rd., Ephrata. Interment will be in Groffdale (Frame) Mennonite Cemetery.
