John S. Stoltzfus, 94, a resident of Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
He was the husband of the late Marian F. Shonk Stoltzfus who died April 16, 2023. Born in Bareville, he was the son of the late John F. and Malinda Stoltzfus Stoltzfus.
John was a founder and partner with his brother Henry in Lancaster Level-Flo. Following his retirement he spent years committing his time to the Gideons, Water Street Mission and his church. He was a member of Calvary Church. John enjoyed traveling, golfing, and spending the winters at their home in Sarasota, FL.
John is survived by his three children and nine grandchildren, Randy husband of Melanie Barge Stoltzfus of Lancaster, and their children, Clarke husband of Emily Cebulski Stoltzfus of Wind Gap, Grant Stoltzfus of Huntingdon and his girlfriend Michaeline Rogers and Bradley Stoltzfus of Indiana, PA; Nancy wife of Kenneth Craul of Lancaster, and their children, Brittany wife of Greg Snyder of Strasburg, Kaitlin wife of Chad Newcomer of Lancaster, and Erin wife of Jeisson Zuleta of Willow Street; and Glenn husband of Melanie Rohrer Stoltzfus of Manheim, and their children, Alison wife of Jordan Good of Lititz, Emily Stoltzfus and Tony Stoltzfus of Manheim; and seven great grandchildren, Lynette, Audrey and Wade Snyder, Gray and Lenna Good, Asa Stoltzfus and Leo Zuleta. He was preceded in death by siblings, Mattie Stoltzfus, Rachel Smoker, Rebecca Stoltzfus, Eli Stoltzfus, Mary King, Daniel Stoltzfus, Ada Fisher, Malinda Fisher, Sarah Fisher, Henry Stoltzfus, Emma Beiler, Amos Stoltzfus, Levi Stoltzfus, Benuel Stoltzfus and Katie Fisher.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fairmount Homes for the excellent care they provided to John for the past 3 years.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, at 11:00 A.M. at the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church, 2900 Church Road, Bird-In-Hand, PA with the Rev. Adin Miller and the Rev. Jonathan Yoder officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A Viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
