Jonathan Z. “Brownie” Stoltzfus, 90, of Ephrata, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Aaron M. and Elizabeth (Beiler) Stoltzfus. He was married 47 years on November 28 to Mabel (Miller) Stoltzfus.
Brownie worked as a painter for Hursh Painting Company. He attended Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed baseball and was a Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Curtis, married to Kelly (Earhart) Stoltzfus of Denver, and Bethany, married to Jacob Blasdel of Ashland, OH; seven grandchildren, Cade, Katrelle, Koen, Colten, Zane, Stetson, and Jacqueline; a sister, Rebecca, married to Mervin Stoltzfus of Kinzers; a brother, Melvin Stoltzfus of Morgantown; and step-sister, Naomi, married to Alvin Lapp of Canada.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Omar and John Stoltzfus; a sister, Lavina Miller; two step-sisters, Esther Petersheim and Ruth Schrock and step-mother, Emma Petersheim Stoltzfus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 3 pm at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA 17557 with the Rev. Dr. Doug Bozung and the Rev. Jim Hertzler officiating. Viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at Fairmount Homes, Farm Crest Chapel, 1100 Farm Crest Dr., Ephrata.
