Joyce H. Bowman

Joyce Hope (Shertzer) Bowman, of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of Nevin E. Bowman, with whom she shared over 56 years of marriage, and who preceded her in death in 2014.

Born in Millersville, she was a daughter of the late Christian H. and Betty (Shaud) Shertzer.

Joyce was a member of the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Ephrata. She worked as a tax collector for Lancaster County.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Chrystle L. Muto, wife of Eugene, of Austin, TX, a sister, Vickie Shertzer of Quarryville, a grandson, Eugene Christian Muto, and a great-grandson, Chase Nevin Bowman.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia M. Bowman, and a grandson, Jeremiah L. Bowman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 AM at the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Rd., Ephrata PA 17522 with Dr. B. W. Hambrick officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Mennonite Cemetery, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, PA 17507. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10-11 AM. Kindly omit flowers.
