Joyce W. (Sensenig) Eby, 74, of Denver, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2026, with her four daughters by her side.
Born in Ephrata, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Miriam (Wanner) Sensenig.
She was the wife of the late Earl Z. Eby, whom she shared 48 years of marriage until his passing on August 7, 2020.
Joyce was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed cooking and serving guests in their home. She loved feeding birds and caring for her house plants. She left us with many great memories from photography and scrapbooking. She was employed at Shady Maple Cafeteria. She volunteered for many years for Fivepointville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In her younger years, Joyce devoted lots of time to the children’s ministry at Shiloh Mennonite Church, Reading, where she was a member. She had a caring heart that reflected the love for Jesus that will forever be missed.
Joyce is survived by four daughters: Wanda married to Wilmer Hurst, Narvon, Lucinda married to Ray Hurst, Denver, Krista Martin, Reinholds, Erla married to Jonnie Martin, Lancaster, 12 grandchildren: Natalie, Nicholas and Noelle Hurst, Dorian, Delaney and Davante Martin, Vanessa, Desirae, Kiara, Cayden, Logan and Paxton Martin, great granddaughter: Nora Martin and seven siblings: Judy married to H. Lamar Sensenig, Leola, Glenn married to Susan (Weaver) Sensenig, Ephrata, Miriam widow of Homer Nolt, Akron, Dororthy married to Roy Reiff, Stevens, Geraldine widow of David Shirk, Martinsburg, Clarence Sensenig, Denver and Barry married to Debra (Futer) Sensenig, Terre Hill.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Eby and sister, Arlene (husband James Martin).
The family would like to thank the staff at: Sunny Crest Homes, Reading Hospital, Faithful Living and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the church. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Mennonite Church, 421 Bingaman Street, Reading PA 19602.
Groff High Funeral Home in New Holland is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
