Judith A. DeFeo, 77, of New Holland, passed away on May 23, 2026, at PennMedicine Lancaster General Hospital. Judith was born in Glen Ridge, NJ, to her late parents, Joseph R. Kapp, Jr. and Maria (Hall) Kapp. Her loving husband, George M. DeFeo, survives at home.

Judith was a beautiful woman with a captivating smile and an enormous heart. She was a devoted friend with a spirit of volunteerism. She enjoyed being surrounded by her friends, hosting parties and dinners, playing Scrabble, and living her life to the fullest. She cherished her time spent with George and his DJ business, playing music and hosting for multiple charities. Her voice was just as radiant and captivating as her smile. She enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland, where she also attended church.

In addition to her husband, Judith is survived by her sister, Sarah Kapp, of VT, her cousins, Margaret “Peg” Skinner and her husband Paul, of MO, Genevieve Hall, of PA, and her brother-in-law, Raymond DeFeo and his wife Leona, of FL. In addition, she is survived by her four-legged companion, Hank, at home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 5:00 PM, at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 West Main Street, New Holland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
