Julia M. Guinette

Julia M. Guinette, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Fairmount Homes in Ephrata, PA. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Guinette.

Julie loved her family and spending time with people. Her kindness and sweet spirit were known to many. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed Hummingbirds, Gardening, and especially her Flowers. She and Gordon have been members of Pine Grove Church in Bowmansville, PA for many years.

Born in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Vivian (Shafer) Raitz.

In addition to her husband, Gordon, she is survived by two children: Greg Guinette, married to Louann (of Souderton), and their children Olivia and Matthew; and Michelle Labrecque, married to Scott (of Lancaster), and their children, Brittany, Madison, Zachary and Sophia; and her extended family, including Debbie Pagonis of Arizona, and Diane Longobardi, Doug Guinette and Nicole Pagonis-Bragg of Massachusetts.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Ben Raitz and her Stepson, Daniel Guinette.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Fairmount Homes and to Julie’s Hospice Nurse, Jenn Wrigley. Your care and support of our family and our Mom was extraordinary and we are forever grateful!

Friends and family will be received at 10am on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Rd., in Bowmansville, PA, with a memorial service to be held by Pastor Jonathan Yoder at 11am. Interment will be in the adjoining Church cemetery immediately following the service, with a luncheon at the Church to follow.
