June Winifred Hartigan

June Winifred Hartigan, 92, of New Holland, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Garden Spot Village. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hartigan, in 1992.

Born in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Naomi (Batten) Lewis.

June worked as a police stenographer for 22 years in the Cherry Hill Police Department, retiring in 1985 and moving to Lancaster County, PA in 1986.

Surviving are two sons: James (Barbara) Hartigan, Bedford, NH and Jeffrey (Helene) Hartigan, Collingswood, NJ; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Mildred Russell.

June was a member of the United Methodist Church in Churchtown, PA. A resident of Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA for over 20 yrs, she was actively engaged in numerous social activities and clubs.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
