Karen Ann Stankard, 62, of Narvon, passed away on December 6, 2025, at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Karen was born in Reading, PA, to her parents, Marwood and Grace Mildred (Evans) Mattson. She was the loving wife of Jeffrey Stankard who survives at home.

Karen was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmom. She worked hard and enjoyed spending time being surrounded by her family. She cherished time spent on the motorcycle with Jeffrey, especially sunset motorcycle rides. She worked at Zerbe Sisters Nursing home, and she and Jeffrey volunteered for many years with the veterans at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC. Her hard work continued running her own business, cleaning newly constructed homes.

In addition to her husband and mother, Karen is survived by her children, Ricky L Reider, Jr., of Narvon, Joseph Robert Reider, of Narvon, Michael Richard Reider and his wife Kristyn, of Oley, PA, Nathan James Reider, and her grandchildren, Jaxyn McFadden and Bradley Reider. She is also survived by her sisters, Patti Mattson and Michelle Mason-Smith and her husband Gentry.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, beginning at Noon, at C. Stanley Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 East Main Street, Terre Hill, PA, officiated by Pastor Shane Symolon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A private inurnment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
