Kathryn H. Martin, 79, of Ephrata, passed away on July 1, 2025, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. Kathryn was born in Vernfield, PA, to her late parents, Leroy and Esther (Hackman) Gehman. She was married to her husband, Larry S. Martin, and together they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on December 27th of this past year.
Kathryn loved being surrounded by family and friends. For many years she worked at Yoder’s Country Market, serving patrons in the deli department. Her family brought her the greatest joy, especially when she was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathryn also enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with her friends at Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community. She was also an avid book reader, until being introduced to Daimond painting.
In addition to her husband at home, Kathryn is survived by her children, Steve Martin and his wife Dawn, of Ephrata, Leanne Sensenig and her husband Troy, of Narvon, and Michele Heckathorn, of Mohnton. In addition, Kathryn is survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and eight siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, PA, with Pastors Brian Martin, Al Stoltzfus and Leon Hurst officiating. A viewing will be held from 8:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. A private family burial will be held following the funeral service in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to: Drilling for Life, 266 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds, PA 17569.
Arrangements have been entrusted to C. Stanley Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
