Kathryn T. Hartranft

Kathryn T. Hartranft, 89, of 2499 Zerbe Rd., Narvon, formerly of New Holland and Terre Hill, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin L. Hartranft in 1999.

Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Paul D. and Emma (Weaver) Stone.

She was a 1942 graduate of the former New Holland High School.

A homemaker, she loved her children and grandchildren, was an avid reader, enjoyed word search puzzles, and loved to send greeting cards to others. She was also a member of St. John’s Center United Church of Christ.

Surviving are three daughters: Andrea L. married to Carl D. Hilt, Jr., New Holland; Melinda J. married to William Witman, Gap, and Erika L. married to Gene Neidermyer, New Holland; six grandchildren: Melanie, Destry, Reade, Devin, Kirk, Kylene; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George W. and James H. Stone.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Center United Church of Christ, 432 Reading Rd., East Earl, PA 17519 with Pastor Bradley J. Haws officiating. Interment will be in Center Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
