Kathryn Elizabeth Kochel

Kathryn E. Kochel, 97, a resident of Fairmount Homes, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

She was the wife of the late John H. Kochel who died in 2011. Born in Ephrata Twp, she was the daughter of the late Horace A. and Eva Stauffer Wanner.

Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Denver.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Kochel and Lisa Kochel; a son, J. Marvin husband of Cindy (Stewart) Kochel; two grandchildren, Ashley wife of Troy Hertzler, and John Kochel; two great grandchildren, Kylie wife of Nathan Bryant and Cole husband of Rachel Hertzler; one great great grandchild Zane Bryant; a brother, Horace husband of Dorothy Wanner; and two sisters, Edith Horning and Margaret wife of Marvin Weaver. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Kochel and by siblings, Dorothy Leaman, Helen Snader, Jane Weaver, and Charles Wanner.

Service and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
