Kathryn O. Witmer

Kathryn O. Witmer, 86, of Narvon, formerly of Bowmansville, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, after a lengthy illness at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center.

Born in Ephrata Twp., she was the daughter of the late Isaac W. and Katie (Oberholtzer) Sensenig. Her husband, Roy G. Witmer, died in 1984.

Kathryn worked for 29 years at the former Allen G. Musser appliance and hardware store in Bowmansville. Later she volunteered and worked for several years at the Ephrata Re-Uzit Store.

She was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church where she was active with the Sewing Circle and as a Sunday school teacher.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth R., married to Lorraine (Landis) Witmer of East Earl, Dale E., married to Susan (Siomko) Witmer of Ephrata, and Robert L., married to Janice (Horning) Witmer of Clearfield; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are two sister and two brothers, Loretta Sensenig, Amos Sensenig, Dorothy Leid, and Isaac Sensenig.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18 at 10 am at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl, PA 17519 with Pastor Larry Weber and Pastor Harold Eberly officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 pm and on Monday from 9-10 am at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church.
