Katie S. Shirk, 98, a resident of Fairmount Homes, passed away on December 19, 2025 at Ephrata Hospital.

Born in East Earl, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Ada M. (Shirk) Martin.

She was the wife of the late Isaac S. Shirk, who passed on February 23, 2012.

She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference) and was a homemaker. Katie is the last of the late Bishop Jonas H. Martin’s 85 grandchildren.

Katie is survived by her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Minerva M. Shirk and sisters, Nora Martin and Anna S. Martin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 1120 Weaverland Road, East Earl PA 17519 with Bishop Marvin Nolt officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the home of Menno Martin, 155 Spring Grove Road, East Earl PA 17519.
