Kenneth E. Myers

Kenneth E. Myers, Sr., 68, of Ephrata passed away peacefully on August 6, 2016 surrounded by his family.


He was born in Lancaster, Pa. on October 24, 1947 to Alberta Myers and the late Harry Myers.


He leaves behind his wife Linda (Martin) Myers; two sons Kenneth Myers, Jr., husband of Kirstin, Ephrata; Jonathan Myers, husband of Shelly, Allentown; a grandchild, Zachary Myers and two step-grandchildren, Jacob Gordon and Olivia Gordon; sister Kay Paparo, wife of Vince Paparo, Ephrata.


Ken graduated in 1965 from Garden Spot High School, New Holland, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1966-72. He most recently was employed at Gochnauers Home Appliances in East Petersburg.


One of Ken’s most enjoyable times was participating in a Revolutionary War reenactment regiment in the 1970s and 1980s, in many locations across the East Coast. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, driving his Jeep on the Delaware beach, collecting military memorabilia and working on home projects.

He was a member of Howell Masonic Lodge #405, New Holland American Legion Post #662 and a former member of St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland.


A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 7 pm at St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland with the Rev. Dr. Stuart Sacks officiating. The family will receive friends and family following the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in the adjoining cemetery.
