Larry G. Usner

Larry G. Usner, 81, of New Holland, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

He was married 59 years to Sylvia A, Horning Usner. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Leroy and Bertha Martin Usner.

Larry had worked as the parts manager at the former Ziemer Buick, New Holland, for 43 years. In his retirement he worked as a driver for New Holland Auto Group and Class Eight Parts in New Holland. He was a 1961 graduate of Garden Spot High School and a member of Ranck’s United Methodist Church. Larry was a Sargeant in the US Army serving from 1964-1966. He was a volunteer with the United Veterans Council, a member of the American Legion Post 662 and the VFW Post 7362. Larry was a life member of Liberty Fire Company, now Garden Spot Fire and Rescue, and served as Chief from 1978-1994. He enjoyed golfing and following Philly Sports.

Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Sheri Usner companion of James Ray of Stevens; a son, Jeffrey husband of Michele Usner of Narvon; 2 granddaughters, Allison wife of Josh Martin and Erin Usner; a sister, Phyllis Reppert of New Holland; and two brothers, Ronald husband of Karen Usner of New Holland, and Donald husband of Deb Usner of Snyderville.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 11:00 A.M. at Ranck’s United Methodist Church, 700 Ranck Road, New Holland, PA with Pastor Kris Pursel officiating. Interment with Military Honors in the adjoining church cemetery. A Viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
