Laura S. Kurtz

Laura S. Kurtz, 95, a resident of Landis Homes, formerly of Elverson, passed away on October 20, 2025.

Born in Elverson, she was the daughter of Harvey M. and Mary L. (Sweigart) Kurtz.

She was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church and had her doctorate in education. She started her teaching career at Conestoga Christian School and then was a missionary for Eastern Mennonite Missions in Tanzania and China.

Laura is survived by her siblings, Marie wife of Phil Ruch of Fort Wayne, IN, Cora Kurtz of Gainesville, FL and Titus husband of Pearl Kurtz of Elverson, three nephews, two nieces and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lydia Baer and Mabel Kurtz. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Landis Homes West Bethany Chapel, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz PA 17543. A Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery following the funeral service.
