Lauraine R. Overly

Lauraine R. Overly, 85, of New Holland, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Evergreen Retirement Community. Lauraine was born in Jennersville, Chester County to her late parents, Brinton Walter Miller and Margaret (Davis) Miller. Her beloved husband, Lee H. Overly passed away in 2023.

Lauraine was a well-known and well-loved woman in the New Holland area. For many years she tended bar and worked as a waitress. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the mountains, camping and playing Solitaire. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed being surrounded by her cats and her dogs.

Lauraine is survived by her children, Ronald Overly, of Bowmansville and Barry Overly and his companion Jane Owens, of New Holland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy Overly and his wife Tabitha (Martin) Overly, Jennifer Heist and her husband John, Travis Overly and his wife Amy (Fink) Overly, and five great grandchildren. In addition, one brother, James Miller, survives.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lauraine was pre-deceased by her siblings, Robert Miller, Walter Miller, Kenny Miller, Betty Schpansky, Florence Greer, Patty Miller and Dorothy Smith.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
