Lena E. Diller

Lena E. Diller, 96, formerly of Bareville, died Saturday, November 2 at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester G. Diller in 2005.

Born in Salisbury Twp., she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Weaver) Kurtz.

Lena had worked as a cook for 25 years at the Leola Elementary School cafeteria.

She was a member of the Pequea Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Betty L. Diller, Lancaster; two grandchildren, Tiffany Mercer and Ronald Dickson; five great grandchildren; and a sister Marian Kurtz, New Holland.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 5 at 11 a.m. at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with Rev. Beth Engel and Rev. Stephen Getty officiating.
