Lena N. Martin

Lena N. Martin, 68, of 523 N. Railroad Ave., New Holland, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Caernarvon Twp., Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Susanna (Newswanger) Sensenig. She was married 45 years on March 6 to Melvin H. Martin.

Lena was a homemaker and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving in addition to her husband are seven children, Erma Martin at home, Ruth Ann, married to David Nolt of Curtiss, WI, Ralph Martin of Versailles, MO, Melvin Ray Martin at home, Naaman Martin at home, Velma Martin at home, and Joseph, married to Joanna Hoover of East Earl; three grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, David N. Sensenig of Ephrata, Jacob N. Sensenig of Loysburg, Mary, married to Marvin Hoover of Fortuna, MO, Susanna, married to Noah Shirk of Spencer, TN, Aaron, married to Annie (Shirk) Sensenig of Versailles, MO, Elam Sensenig of Ephrata, Emma, married to Raymond Stauffer of Fortuna, MO, and Elizabeth Leinbach of Versailles, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1 at 9 am at the late home with further services at 9:30 at the New Holland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the late home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
