Leon G. Stauffer

Leon G. Stauffer, formerly of East Earl, PA, died at the home of his daughter in Lewisburg, PA on April 4, 2024.

He was born on January 29, 1938, the son of Adam Stauffer and Nancy (Gingrich) Stauffer, and also raised by stepmother Elizabeth (Martin) Stauffer.

He married Mary Jane Hurst on March 7, 1959. They celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2019.

Leon was an accomplished wood worker and jack-of-all trades. Working for Boscov's, Bieber Bus and Elite Tours for many years, with his most recent employment delivering equipment for Power Pro. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland. He was a member of Terre Hill Fire Company and served as chief for many years.

He is survived by three children: daughter, Donna married to Ervin Blank, Lewisburg; son, Leon Lamar married to Stacey, Grampian; and son Dwayne married to Jennifer, Denver. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Lindsay (Nathan) Hoy, Joshua (Lydia) Blank, Courtney (Shane) Donely, Kyle (Samantha) Stauffer, Zachary (Nichole) Stauffer, Ryan Stauffer (Jaden Greco), six great grandchildren: Samuel and Penelope Hoy, Jamison Donely, Melody, Kylie, and Makenzie Stauffer. Also surviving are sisters, Violet (Leonard) Martin and Rachel (Carl) Martin, brother Elias (Mary) Stauffer and Frank (Marilyn) Martin. He was preceded in death by siblings: Erma Martin, Joanna Zimmerman, and Lucinda Weaver.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
