Leon W. “Skinner” Weaver, 81, a lifelong resident of Terre Hill, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24 at Chester County Hospital.
Born in Terre Hill, he was the son of the late George and Annie (Adams) Weaver.
He was a truck driver, retiring from Charles M. Shirk Trucking. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are three children: Bernie Auker fiancé of Karen Wise, Sinking Spring; Matt married to Kathi Weaver, Denver; Pam married to Gary Shomo, Shillington; three step-sons: Kenneth Auker, Columbia Crossroads, PA; Leonard Auker, Ephrata; Bradley Auker, Reinholds; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Donald Weaver, GA; Everett Weaver, Quarryville; Ralph Weaver, Terre Hill.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Robert, James and Frank Weaver and Irene Smith.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with Rev. Timothy Craven officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Eckenroth’s on Thursday from 10 – 11 a.m. Online condolences may be posted on our website, www.groffeckenroth.com.
