Leonard J Martin

Leonard (Lenny) J. Martin, 82, a resident of Fairmount Homes, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

He was the husband of Miriam (Mim) L. Martin. Born in Ephrata Twp., with whom he was married for 61 years. He was the son of the late Joseph G. and Sara Carrigan Martin.

Leonard retired from Quality Custom Cabinetry where he had been employed for 24 years. He was a 1962 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. Leonard was a member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church and the Farmersville Fire Co., where he had served both in various roles, and the Lucky 13 Hunting Camp in Tioga County. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and following the Phillies and Eagles.

Surviving besides his wife is a son Jeffrey L. husband of Tess Martin of Harrisburg; a daughter, Jodi L. Waltz-Nye wife of Joel Nye of Middletown; two grandchildren, Tyler husband of Samantha Waltz, and Abbi wife of Nick Brown; two great grandchildren, Rilynn and Grayson Waltz; and three step grandsons, Zach, Jedd and Coleson Nye and their families. Leonard was looking forward to the arrival of his third great grandchild Adeline Brown in a few weeks. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Nolt and a brother, Robert Martin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 3:00 P.M. at the Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Road, Leola, PA. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
