Lewis B. Groff

Lewis B. Groff, 80 of New Holland, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was married 57 years to Ella B. Zimmerman Groff. Born in Snyder County, he was the son of the late Elmer W. and Leah H. Brubaker Groff.

Lewis retired from Beiler Hydraulics in Leola, following 30 years of employment. Prior to that he had worked at Victor F. Weaver for 28 years. Throughout his retirement years, he enjoyed local taxi driving. He was a member of the Honey Brook Mennonite Church

Surviving besides his wife are four children, Twila Ann wife of Daniel M. Sensenig of Ephrata, Clair Eugene husband of Sueann (Martin) Groff of West Jefferson, OH, Nelson Lamar husband of Julia (Zehr) Groff of Moultrie, GA, and Curvin Ray husband of Amy (Moran) Groff of Millersburg; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons; and a sister, Eleanor Horst of Richland, PA. He was preceded in death by siblings and their spouses, Ernest and Mary Ann Groff and Elwood and Ruth Ann Groff, and by a brother-in-law, Raymond Horst.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 15th, at 10:00 A.M. at the Honey Brook Mennonite Church, 678 Reservoir Road, Honey Brook, PA. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held on Sunday, September 14th from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata, PA.
