Lillian Elva Schlimme

Lillian Elva (Honey) Schlimme, 80, of New Holland, died February 17, 2014 at Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of the late Fred R. Schlimme.


Born in Salisbury Twp., she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Anna (Lafferty) Graham.


She attended Gospel Tabernacle and was a long-time member of the choir. She loved her church family and there was no place she’d rather be than in church.


She loved flowers and butterflies, putting puzzles together, and visiting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


She is survived by four daughters: Lucille Pyle, wife of the late Glenn Pyle of New Holland; Carol Dohner of New Holland; Brenda Sandoe wife of James Sandoe of Akron and Sandra Finger wife of Robert Finger of East Earl; a brother Leon Graham of New Holland, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and six sisters.


Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 11 a.m. at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with Pastor Dennis Moyer officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com.
