Lillian June Weinhold

Lillian June Gerhart Weinhold, 86, of Fivepointville, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 25th after a brief cancer illness. She was residing at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, since July. Lillian was born June 14, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Floy Hoshour but was raised by her grandparents, the late William B. and Jenny Showalter.

Mrs. Weinhold is survived by her loving husband, Melvin. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this past Valentine’s Day. She is also survived by her two children: Diane Kay Styer (Terry) and Dean Melvin (Linda Martin) Weinhold. She has four surviving grandchildren: Melissa Irwin (John), Dean Jr., Jonathan (Niki), and Melanie Weinhold and 5 great-grandchildren: Chase, Desmond, Laken, Harper Irwin and Aubrey Weinhold. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Eric Matthew Weinhold and PFC Brandon M. Styer.

Lillian attended East Cocalico High School and graduated from the GED program. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland.

When her children were in school, Mrs. Weinhold taught a Good News Club in her home for all the children in Fivepointville. She also taught Preschool Sunday School at Berean Bible Fellowship Church, Terre Hill and Twin Valley Bible Chapel, Morgantown.

Lillian worked at Victor Weaver’s Retail Store, (Tyson Foods) New Holland for many years before going into Quality Control, retiring in 2002.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the funeral service of Lillian Weinhold on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11 am from the Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland. Friends will be received at the church from 9 – 11 am. Interment will be held at Christian Fellowship Church cemetery immediately following the service.
