Linda Anne Leonard

Linda Anne Leonard, 64, of Narvon, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy.

Born in Narvon, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Edna (Hyman) Jacobs. She was married 43 years on Oct. 16 to Wallace Leonard.

Linda worked for 28 years for Old Guard Mutual Insurance Co. in Lancaster and later 11 years as Payroll/Benefits Coordinator at Ephrata Manor.

She was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Narvon where she served as treasurer for a number of years. She enjoyed shore trips with her family and friends, Potter County mountain trips, traveling to all 50 states, flower gardening, reading, classic car shows, and her cats.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Kendra Sue, married to Greg Rhinier of Ephrata, and Bryce, married to Renee (Geiter) Leonard of Honey Brook; two grandchildren, Austin and Cody Rhinier; a brother, Frank “Mike”, married to Joan (Cairns) Jacobs of New Holland; and two sisters, Margaret, married to Jim Fiore of Pottstown, and Nancy, married to Elmer Arment of Gap.

Preceding her in death is a brother, John William Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 11 am at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland, with the Reverend Keith Price and the Reverend Harry Kaufhold officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 9-11 am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO
