Linford C. Good, 92, of New Holland, passed away peacefully at Maple Farm, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Linford was born in Bowmansville, to his late parents, Clayton and F. Esther (Groff) Good. His spouse, Shirley T. (Timmins) Good, passed away on April 19, 2019.
Linford was a lifelong resident of Bowmansville, until he and Shirley retired to Garden Spot Village. After graduating from high school, Linford served in the United States Army as a Ranger and Paratrooper during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Pine Grove Mennonite Church for most of his life and served as a deacon, head usher, and chaired numerous church committees. In addition, he served as Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop located in Bowmansville and with many civic and governmental organizations. Linford was also a lifelong member of Bowmansville Fire Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.
Linford is survived by his children, Jacquelyn A. Good and her spouse Irvin B. Boyd, Jr., of Bowmansville, Debra K. Good, of Leola, and Jeffrey C. Good and his wife Suzanne, of Bowmansville. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Janine Stallings, Laura Keeney, Alison Good and Kaitlyn Good and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved spouse and parents, Linford was predeceased by his sister, Eunice F. Weinhold.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, beginning at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. A private burial with take place following the service at Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Bowmansville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
