Lizzie S. Wenger, 96, of Denver, formerly of New Holland, died of natural causes on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Cocalico Christian Home in Denver.
Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late Enos and Fannie (Snyder) Weaver. Her husband, Eli Wenger, died Oct. 31, 2006.
Lizzie was a homemaker and a member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
Surviving are three sisters and a brother, Nora Hurst of Ephrata, Etta, married to Edwin Horning of Ephrata, Aaron Weaver of Myerstown, and Esther, married to Samuel Horst of Ephrata; two brothers-in-law, Ivan, married to Mary Nolt of Ephrata, and Michael, married to Minnie Horning of Myerstown; a sister-in-law, Thelma, married to Harry Good of Newmanstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are three sisters, Mary Hoover, Anna Nolt, and Mabel Horning; two brothers, Raymond Weaver, and Joseph Weaver; a sister-in-law, Joyce (Musser) Weaver; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Hurst.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 9 am at Fairmount Homes, Farmcrest Chapel with further services at 9:30 am at Groffdale Mennonite Church with the Bishop Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Fairmount Homes, Farmcrest Chapel, 1100 Farmcrest Dr., Ephrata. Kindly omit flowers.
