Llewellyn R. “Lew” Schnader, 81, of E. Jackson St., New Holland, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his first wife June I. (Patton) Schnader in 1984 and his second wife June A. (Weber) Schnader in 2008.
Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Llewellyn W. and Violet (Henly) Schnader and was a 1951 graduate of New Holland High School
Llewellyn had worked at the New Holland Custom Woodwork for about 25 years and also at the former Sperry New Holland in the Engineering Dept. for 13 years. He had served in the US Army during peacetime and was a member of New Holland V.F.W. Charles E. Ludwig Post 7362.
Surviving is a son Bradley S. Schnader of New Holland, and a daughter LeAnne M. Schnader of Fort Collins, CO, and a sister Phyllis Trimby of Mount Joy.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Loyce Martin and Fred Schnader
