Lloyd W. Martin

Lloyd W. Martin, 84, of Ephrata, formerly of Denver, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Lincoln Christian Home in Ephrata.

Born in East Earl Twp., he was the son of the late John W. and Martha (Weaver) Martin. His wife, Mary M. (Hoover) Martin, died Jan. 26, 2014.

Lloyd worked 44 years in maintenance at Tyson Foods in New Holland. He was a member of Indiantown Mennonite Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and camping.

Surviving are five children, Leon, married to Resie Martin of Denver, Clair Martin of Watertown, NY, Elaine, married to Glenn Horning of Monmouth, ME, Jay, married to Jeanette Martin of Denver, and Darryl Martin of Ephrata; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Anna Good of Missouri; three brothers, Irwin, married to Dorothy Martin of Denver, Raymond, married to Esther Martin of Ephrata, and Lawrence Martin, married to Vera Martin, who died Aug. 28, 2016, of East Earl; and a sister-in-law, Irene Martin of Ephrata.

Preceding him in death is a brother, John Martin, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Ivan Good.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 10 am at Indiantown Mennonite Church, 255 Indiantown Rd, Ephrata. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland and on Thursday at the church from 9-10 am.
