Lois H. Anderson

Lois H. Anderson, 87, a resident of Garden Spot Village, died Monday, December 31, 2018.

She was the wife of the late Howard L. Anderson who died in 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus B. and Florence Langjahr Hopper.

Lois was a Registered Nurse and had been employed as a school nurse for the Middle County School District, Long Island, NY for many years. She had attended the Packer Collegiate Institute and received her nursing degree from the Columbia Presbyterian Nursing School. After they retired, Lois and Howard moved in 1994 from Smithtown, Long Island, to Summerfield in Elverson, where they were members of the Elverson United Methodist Church,.

Surviving are three daughters, Jill wife of Jack Rule of Collegeville, Gail wife of Stephen Murray of Greensboro, NC and Wendy wife of Paul Benesky of Trappe, PA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother, Cameron F. husband of Margaret Hopper of Greenwich, CT.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, at 2:00 P.M. at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Anderson’s memory may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
