Lois D. Hall

Lois D. Hall, 83, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, formerly of Riner and Christiansburg, VA, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Garden Spot Village where she resided for past year. She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Hall in 2012.


Born in Pulaski, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clayton J. and Mildred (Frazier) Duncan.


She retired after 35 years as secretary to the Human Resources Department of Hercules, Inc., Radford, VA.


Lois had been a very active member of the Auburn United Methodist Church and church choir in Riner, VA. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland.


Surviving are two step-children: George “Benny” Hall, Jr. and his wife Debbie, Riner, VA and Linda Hall Keith, Roanoke, VA and a brother James Duncan, Waynesboro, VA as well as four nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Boyd.


A memorial service will be held at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Chester Yoder and Rev. Jacqueline Roderick officiating. Friends will be received at the chapel one hour prior to the service on Friday. An additional memorial service will be held at Auburn United Methodist Church, Riner, VA on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. The Family will receive friends following the service. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be sent in Lois’s memory to the New River Land Trust Foundation, P. O. Box 11057, Blacksburg, VA 24060. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is assisting the family with arrangements.
