Louella M. Horst

Louella M. (Weaver) Horst, 85, of Ephrata, passed away on June 9, 2024 as a resident of Fairmount Homes.

Born in East Earl, she was the daughter of Harry H. and Mary M. (Martin) Weaver.

She was the wife of the late Ammon K. Horst, with whom she married on November 1, 1958 and shared 55 years of marriage until the time of his passing on May 26, 2014.

She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church and was employed as a waitress in her earlier years at Terre Hill Restaurant and later worked at Shady Maple for 23 years as a cook. She enjoyed playing card games and word puzzles.

Louella is survived by her children, Clifford L. husband of Deanna Horst of Ephrata, JoAnn wife of Charles Risser of Lititz, Glenda wife of Mervin Martin of Mohnton, Linda wife of Rodney Greene of Lancaster, Darwin husband of Bonita Horst of Terre Hill, and Timothy husband of Deborah Horst of Myerstown, 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Mary Jane widow of Mark Lehman, Kathryn wife of Roman Musser, Beulah wife of Wilmer Musser, Mildred wife of Lester Musser and Harry husband of Linda Weaver and sister in laws, Mabel Weaver and Wilma Weaver.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Esther Mae wife of Paul Oberholtzer, Raymond Weaver, Leroy Weaver and Richard Weaver.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata PA 17522. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the church and on Friday for one hour prior to the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Fairmount Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata PA 17522.
