Louis W. Diegel

Louis W. Diegel, Jr., 72, of East Earl, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Falmouth, PA, he was a son of the late Louis W. and Priscilla (Wolford) Diegel. He was married to A. Louise (Clugston) Diegel for 53 years.

Louis was a woodworker for Honeybrook Woods in Coatesville, PA, for 23 years. He enjoyed woodcraft and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Twila “Dee” Diegel of East Earl, Tina L. Radley of Racine, WI, and Tonda L. Adams of East Earl; a son, Louis F. Diegel of Campbelltown, PA; a great-grandson whom Louis and Louise are raising, William J Diegel of East Earl; six sisters, Virginia Haldeman of Elizabethtown, PA, Arlene Gieb of Elizabethtown, PA, Roberta Mering of Bremen, IN, Elaine Lefever of Elizabethtown, PA, Elizabeth Richards of Hershey, PA, and Mildred Winters of Elizabethtown, PA; two brothers, James Diegel, Sr., of Elizabethtown, PA, and Charles D. Diegel, Sr., of Gettysburg, PA; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Emery T. and Estella R. Clugston.
