Louise H. Henderson, 100, formerly of Lancaster and suburban Pittsburgh, died Friday, March 7 at Moravian Manor, Lititz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Henderson in 2001.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Gaenzle) Hoak.
Louise, with Paul, owned and operated a fruit orchard in Fawn Twp., Allegheny Co. from 1959-1983.
She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Neffsville and was involved in the quilting and sewing group from the church. She had also volunteered at the Manheim Twp. Library.
Surviving are three children: Leslie H. married to Matthew R. Yunaska, Warminster, PA; Sara H. married to David Marcus, Metuchen, NJ; The Reverend William S. married to Margaret (Heim) Henderson, Selinsgrove, PA; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister Ethel Slater, Dallas, TX.
Her funeral will be held Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd. Lancaster with The Rev. Craig A. Ross officiating. Interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10 – 11 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
